Museum Tiltet House
Aviation Museum

The town of Schierke is only about 20 minutes away from Wernigerode and offers many opportunities for leisure activities.

When there is more snow there, it makes for an excellent skiing and sledding destination.

The museum used to be a fulling mill where fabrics and hides were processed.

The name of the house is based on the fact that it is tilted 1.30 meters.

Today, it is an exhibition of different types of mills, with one room dedicated to the typeface Futura and a photo exhibition by various artists.

Visit the 6,000 m² aviation museum in Wernigerode.

In the old hangars, Hangar 3 and 4, the history of aviation from the 1950s to the present day is shown. In the newly designed hangars, Hangar 1 and 2, the pioneering era of aviation is illustrated.
