And rightly so: With its lively historic city center, wide cultural offerings, and numerous sights and events, it attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.

The beautiful nature of the Harz Mountains is another guest magnet.

The Brocken, the highest peak in the north. 1,141 meters above sea level and an impressive view.

Already visible from afar, the magical mountain landscape rises from the North German plain, often shrouded in fog.

Near the hotel

Our hotel is located in the middle of the city, yet the surroundings are very idyllic. You can reach great shops, small boutiques, and stores on foot.

On the way to the historic marketplace and the town hall, you will find cafes and various restaurants.

Directly from the hotel, you can take a walk through the „Lustgarten“, directly to the castle.

You will pass playgrounds, walk through numerous small alleys, and at the castle you will be rewarded with a fantastic view over Wernigerode, the Brocken, and the Harz foothills.

From the castle, you can continue your tour to the Christianental wildlife park, with native animals, or visit some of the many forest restaurants, such as the Waldgasthaus Armeleuteberg or the Steinerne Renne, for a break.
